The chatroom is located on any Efnet server and the channel is #linuxnewbie .

IRC Commands:

/showurl 'URL' A special jIRC applet command which will show the content of a URL in a new browser window if other channel member is also using jIRC applet
/clear Clear the message screen
/ctcp 'nick_name' 'command' Send ctcp request to a user, command is depends on the client implementation. The most common commands include 'version', 'clientinfo', 'echo', 'time', etc ...
/nick 'nick name' Change your nick name
/join '#channel_name' Leave current channel and join a new channel
Remember to start with '#'
/msg 'nick_name' 'text message' Send a private message to a user
/ctcp 'nick_name' 'command' Send ctcp request to a user, command is depends on the client implementation. The most common commands include 'version', 'clientinfo' 'time', 'echo' etc ....
/mode Change the mode of a user or topic. Type /help mode for more information.
/quit Leave the current channel and disconnect from IRC network
/kick 'nick_name' Kick a user out of a channel.(You must have operator permission)
/topic '#channel'
/topic '#channel' 'topic text'
To see the topic of a channel, or set the topic for that channel. Remember to put '#' to start with a chanel name.
/me 'description' Print out the action you are doing.
/action 'description' Same as /me
