Linux Mandrake 6.1 (Helios) general features
 Linux Mandrake is based upon Linux the full 32 bits multitasking OS. It runs on most of Pentium and compatible architectures (Pentium, Pentium Pro, Pentium MMX, Pentium II, Pentium III and all clones). Linux Mandrake combines the power of Unix-based systems with the flexibiliy of a very powerful graphical Desktop-manager: KDE. It also includes many other graphical desktops like Gnome, AfterStep, WindowMaker, IceWM, XFCE, FVWM...

It comes with the famous Apache Web Server, the Gnu Image Manipulation Program Gimp, Netscape Communicator and many other excellent software. Linux Mandrake is free to get, free to use (please have a look at Licensing informations), free to redistribute...

Compatibility: Linux Mandrake is 99% compatible with RedHat!

Furthermore, our distribution is constantly updated with the new patches, and the new Linux Kernels.
