It’s wedding time!

It is truly a marriage season. Two marriages were solemnised in the tinsel world amidst the summer heat. Playback singer Archana Udupa, who shot into the limelight after winning the coveted Saregama contest, married her own cousin Sriranga recently. Sriranga, a practicing lawyer, is the son of playback singer Shimoga Subbanna. The marriage function was attended by a huge gathering of film artistes and musicians.
Archana Udupa is the student of singer-columnist Sakuntala Narasimhan.
Another upcoming ‘effervescent’ actress Jayashree S Raj tied the nuptial knot with an NRI Ganesh Prasad.
Jayashree is now heading towards Atlanta in US after finishing off her assignments in the television world. She is not only anchoring Namaste ETV on the channel but is also acting in T N Seetharam’s Manvanthara.
Jayashree has already changed her name in the credits that follow the serial as Jayashree S Rao. Jayashree has sought some time to finish her engagements besides awaiting her visa from the US Consulate.
According to Seetharam, Jayashree’s character will come to a logical end in the next one or two months. Besides, she will soon vanish from the scene as a TV anchor. Jayashree is best remembered for her role as Sharada in Maya Mruga, in Sahana and Prema Kathegalu.
Good-bye to all those smiles from Jayashree!
