Dalits want action against erring policemen   
GULBARGA:
A coordination committee of the various Dalits organisations here today threatened to launch an agitation against the State government if it failed to take stringent action against certain police officers who had allegedly caned Dalit youths at Nimbarga village which was rocked by caste clashes recently.

TP approves action plan for 2003-04
KUDLIGI:
The Taluk Panchayat Committee which met here recently approved action plan prepared by various departments for the year 2003-04. Ms Nagamma Jagaleri President TP, presided over the meeting. 

No hope in sight for Shirahatti farmers
SHIRAHATTI:
The rainfall has been steadily decreasing with each passing year in the taluk and the farmers virtually have nowhere to go. After the first showers, farmers began sowing.

Bidar to get WIL service by next month
BIDAR:
District Telecom Manager B Suresh Krishna had announced that by next month Wireless in Local Loop (WIL) services will be introduced in Bhalki city and Bidar.
