Content-heavy mosaic `Karthavyam,' with too many characters, tried to convey so much in so little time. Mobile, not too dramatic Bhavya was impressive with her unflagging stamina and lightness. Good sense of rhythm Smitha Madhav is a graceful dancer but needs to work on a few areas. Scores with facial expressions Jayanthi Subramaniam's expertise in mukhabhinaya outshone pure dance interludes. Overdose of theatrics Sailaja's depiction revealed quiet competence and mastery in nritta. Short yet complete Lavanya Ananth needs to be lauded for condensing her show without compromising on its wholesomeness. Straddling two worlds with panache Ananda Shankar Jayanth has not allowed career and passion to intrude on each other. Result? Success at both ends. Lacking in passion Ramya Ramnarayan should deepen the abhinaya aspect to go beyond the cosmetics of the form.
