Tyagaraja Aradhana
SRI THIAGARAJA Sangeetha Vidwath Samajam, Mylapore, will celebrate its 155th Sri Tyagaraja Aradhana festival starting today. S. V. Krishnan, convenor, Nada Inbam, inaugurates the function, which will be presided over by T. V. Gopalakrishnan. A vocal concert by TVG will follow the special address by Mannargudi Sambasiva Bhagavathar. Evening music concerts are scheduled till the festival concludes on February 13.
Hums and Drums, (Phone: 6600985) will conduct Tyagaraja aradhana — a recital of Pancharatna kritis by eminent vidwans, on February 2, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Maharishi Vidya Mandir, No. 28, Dr. Guruswamy Road, off Poonamallee High Road, near Pachaiyappa's College. Phone: 6431047.
