DRIVINGDIRECTIONS
From
Dallas/Ft. Worth: I-35 South to Hwy 6 Waco, south to
Bryan/College Station, exit FM 2818 south. Left onto George Bush
Dr. 1/4 mile to Library entrance.
From
Houston: Take 290 North to Hwy 6 North to College Station/Bryan.
Hwy 6 to exit FM 2818. Right onto George Bush Dr, 1/4 mile to
Library entrance.
START/FINISH TIMES
The Library and Museum are open Monday - Saturday, 09:30 A.M. - 5:00
P.M.; Sunday, noon - 5:00 P.M. The Library and Museum are closed on Thanksgiving,
Christmas, and New
Year's Day.
CREDIT
One IVV
event credit per the first six months of the year (before July 01) and a second credit
for the last six months (after June 30). There are no limits to the distance credits you
can earn, but $3.00 must be paid each time the course is walked for credit
except that a trail may be walked twice on the same day for one fee.
AWARD
The award is a 3.25" x
4.5" patch (see below), featuring the Sam Houston Steamboat House.
Awards will be mailed when checks are received.
TRAIL DESCRIPTION
The
10 kilometer (6.2 miles) walk
(rating = 1)
is along paved and gravel walkways aorund the George Bush Presidential
Library and Museum and the Texas A&M University.

and water are available at the Start/Finish. Water should be carried with you.
REGISTRATION/
FEES
There is no pre-registration. The
start/finish functions will be self-service, on the honor system. The fees
are: IVV credit only: $3.00;
non-IVV participant: free
No refunds for inclement weather.
All participants must carry a start card and return it when
finished. IVV record books ($5) are available for purchase at the
start/finish box or may be obtained from the event point of contact.
ELIGIBILITY
These events are open to the public and all ages are welcome. Family
participation is encouraged but children under 12 must be accompanied by an
adult. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times.
Pets are NOT allowed inside many establishments.
