Writers on the Record with Victoria Lautman presents a conversation with author Mary Gaitskill about her new collection of stories, Don't Cry. The book follows up on the extraordinary success of her 2005 novel, Veronica, with the same masterful intensity. Psychologically and erotically taut, these ten tales unfurl around universal themes: war, sex, despair, love in many forms, the pain accrued by living. Gaitskill's powerful, unique perspective is always electrifying.
