From an article by Thom Shanker and Cara Buckley in the November 27 New York Times we read the following:

"The White House announced Monday that it had reached a deal with the Iraqi government defining long-term relations between the two nations, including the legal status of American military forces remaining in Iraq."

George Bush refuses to accept the fact that he is a lame-duck president whose agenda is highlighted by such disparate failures as the Iraq War debacle, the national debt soaring to the highest level in U.S. history, greater than all the national debts combined since the U.S. was founded.  He is trying to desperately extend his power long after he is mercifully out of office.

As our dollar goes into free-fall against stable nations' currencies, and as citizens struggle to pay off the gigantic debt for generations to come, every U.S. citizen will be forced to remember George Bush and his long reign of error.
