2,725 votes: Al 'Landslide' Wynn Is Officially On Notice Email Print

A couple days ago, ca democrat wrote up a diary that looked at the various inconsistencies and irregularities that went on during the MD-04 primary between incumbent Albert Wynn and his Democratic opponent, Donna Edwards. In that diary, ca democrat cites an interesting exchange between the Joe Barton Dave Harris is fighting against down in Texas and Rep. Al "Landslide" Wynn. Wynn's final response was that "A win is a win."

Yes, a win is indeed a win. However, the point spread between Wynn and Donna Edwards doesn't exactly give the Congressman a mandate.

Indeed the 2% point difference between the two is downright stunning when you realise that Edwards is a brand new candidate and Wynn's been around for quite a while:

The unofficial tally for the 4th District race gave Rep. Albert Wynn 39,482 votes, or 49 percent, and Donna Edwards 37,174 votes, or 47 percent. George McDermott was a distant third with 3,113 votes, or 4 percent.--link

David Harris: Why We Can WIN TX-06 in 2006 Email Print

This past Jan. my father retired from his 20+ year position. He filled out his paperwork and filed it in time for it to be processed. I just spoke with my mother. It seems that the same office that processes the same forms that my dad filled out also process the Medicare D debacle. According to the folks that Mom talked with, it's going to take longer than it normally would because they are wallowing in the nightmare known as Medicare-Part D.

Thanks Tom. Thanks Joe. That stressed out mother who just called me in a snit? Much appreciated.

Some of you know me from over at Daily Kos. A few others of you may know that I spent a chunk of my grad school days living in the North Texas area. That NTexas connection is how I started looking at Dave Harris as a contender when it comes to Dr. Dean's 50 State Initiative and the race to Take Back the House of Representatives.
