Today in Congress there was an event that, in a smaller way, mirrored what's going on in the world today: a desire to "take things to the next level."

I suppose it was inevitable that such a mindset would become prevalent in our politics. I just didn't think it would be a Democrat who'd give voice to it.

That "voice" comes from this story via ThinkProgress: apparently, Democratic Congressman Lincoln Davis doesn't think the constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage go far enough.
