IN06-Pimping my husband!!!!!!
Read on please.....
I am Sherri Welsh, my husband is Barry Alan Welsh and he is Indiana's 6th Congressional Candidate for the Democrat party in Indiana.
It has recently come to my attention with admitted astonishment that there were aspects of Barry's bio that have been overlooked and that statistics regarding his campaign that have been left unheard due to lack of exposure.

Thanks Indy DFA and Indiana Progressives IN06
This weekend was the Indiana State Party Convention. More on that below.
After the convention, Indy DFA and the Indiana Progressives PAC held a meet and greet/fundraiser for our campaign. We formally launched our campaign proudly at the Indiana Progressives Meetup several months ago, and the progressive movement here in Indiana has been super to our campaign. I have to say thank you, again, to all of those wonderful, passionate, concerned citizens. We might have raised enough for me to make a brief appearance at Yearly Kos!

Ok, YOU tell me if this makes sense...
When Barry discussed the idea of running for congress, it was a well thought out and planned decision to run for office. He took his time to make sure that I would be able to handle his being in politics, the campaigning and the personal sacrifices. I supported him then and I support him now and I will always support him because he is what he is - what you see is what you get. No matter what the circumstances, my husband has always made me proud of him.

Congressional Candidates Wife Speaks Out......NOW!!!
I watched a documentary on Terri Schivo and how each family has a priority, not that each side is any less than the other, but it brought home the fact that a politician's life should be driven by priority.
Proper representation requires the representative to represent the priorities of the majority; this is why it is so critical to vote, to participate in the democratic process.
We all have a responsibility to vote our conscience, pocket book, our inner conviction of what is right and what is wrong. The apathetic outlook on politics has some feeling helpless and overwhelmed, questioning, "What does it matter if I vote?" this is the exact reason that one should vote!! Because one vote, one person is the criteria of this democratic country, it's in part the reason that people sacrifice to give us the freedom of choice. The battlefields of this world have been littered and filled with human sacrifice of people protecting our rights and freedoms at the very least to disagree.

Signs of what may occur...
We have been looking at how Barry's campaign has been and is going - planning speaking engagements, meet & greets, endorsements, fundraisers, volunteers and it's been really interesting. The Indiana's 6th District covers 19 counties; relatively the size of New Hampshire and each are unique and essential in their own right. The people of the district cover a wide spectrum of socio-economical demographics and it's the same expressions of worry, frustration and anger that I see that is bringing the district together.

My husband is one of Feingold's FINALISTS!!!!
The last few weeks, Barry and I have been pondering the status of his congressional candidacy. Tonight on my way home, deep in thought, praying to God to guide me with an unquestionable sign about the campaign, the night was dark and the road curvy and narrow between fields of harvested corn or wheat or soy. I had my high beams on always trying to be watchful and careful of deer and hitting one. As I was praying to God for an unquestionable sign, I see two deer ahead, crossing the dip in the road and I slammed on my breaks

Congressional Candidates Wife Speaks Out....again
One of the topics was about the Dubai World Ports deal and how this deal may possibly put American's at risk. The Democratic Commentator mentioned that Barry has been in the lead on this issue in the district and he mentioned Barry's Press releases. The risk is unknown but the possibilities do abound. I have been reading on the subject and I am by no means an expert on the subject but I would say I am at the least somewhat informed.

STOP OUTSOURCING OUR COUNTRY
STOP OUTSOURCING THIS COUNTRY
If you, fellow citizen, agree with my demand, I ask for your vote in the May Primary and the November Elections.
Governor Mitch Daniels has sold one of our roads, and President George W. Bush has outsourced six of the nation's ports to a country with terror links.
My name is Barry Welsh and I am running for Congress against Republican Mike Pence.

Congressional Candidates Wife Speaks her mind
I have been actively participating in my husband's Congressional race opposing Mike Pence - this is my first Diary. The contents of this diary have not been vetted through my husband's press secretary or my husband or for that matter anyone else. This diary is affording me the opportunity to speak my mind and express some of the things I see, hear and read in today's issues and commentaries as well as being connected to my husband's, Barry Welsh for Congress, campaign.

HELP ME
If Americans are being spied on, and it is not if, we know Americans are being spied on, so knowing Americans are being spied on, I do not have to stretch the imagination great lengths to presume that our campaign will be spied on.
After all, we are challenging the status quo. It will be a contest of grassroots against the establishment.
I am laying out our campaign plan, and advertising budget below the fold, as well as statistics on this district. Then I am going to ask for a minimum $10.00 donation from you. I will do this after you see where the money will go, and you decide if it is a worthy cause.
