When I watched the powerful August Wilson play "Gem of the Ocean" at the Seattle Repertory Theatre, one dramatic moment hit me with great impact.

Michele Shay, the award winning Broadway actress, held her audience spellbound throughout.  In one dramatic scene she was trying to convince a character hiding a deadly secret to free himself by telling the truth.  

Dramatically Shay reminded him of the Apostle Peter, who lost three chances to redeem himself when he denied knowing Christ, not once, not twice, but three times.  

It was then the fateful prophecy came true, the prophecy that Peter would deny knowing Christ thrice before the cock would crow twice.
