A CNN interviewer asked a British general in Iraq the question of what has the Iraq War accomplished.  Tactfully the general replied, "That question can only be answered by the British people!"

By July 2008 half of the British troops will return.  Now the same question must be asked of the American people.  The 2006 election issue was the American public's demand that the Iraq War end.  Placing the Democrats in power was thought to be the answer.

Tragically the Democrats joined the Republican robot Congress in extending the Iraq War with no stated end in sight.  

Why was the 70 billion plus funding of the continuation of the Iraq War extension approved?  Only the conscience of each individual House member can answer that.
