Why is it that Iraq, Afghanistan and Georgia, where oil pipelines run across these nations, is where U.S. interests lie?

Has our foreign policy degenerated into who controls the oil?  If that is the case, it means that big business is in charge.

However, the new reality of Bush's latest move seems to illustrate vividly what dictates U.S. foreign policy at this strategic moment in U.S. history.
