It's hard not to feel sorry for the self-important pundits at National Review's Corner these days. Yes, they scored a victory with the withdrawal of Harriet Miers this morning (which they vehemently opposed on "unqualified" grounds).

But ... in the grand traffic jam scheme of the metropolis now known as Indictment City, they're beginning to show the strain.

From yesterday morning, we have this piece of pathetic absurdity from Jonah Goldberg:

SOMEONE HELP ME OUT [Jonah Goldberg]

Byron, Andy, someone: Is it possible that Wilson will be indicted too, or is that pure pie-in-the-sky talk? Because that would sure help a lot of bitter pills go down.
