Reviews Are In: SOTU Is a Flop Email Print

Yes, we already commented on the SOTU today here at Political Cortex. (My own view: "Lackluster" is too kind a word.)

But there are places outside the blogosphere that weren't too crazy about it either. Let's start with the Los Angeles Times' magnificent, dry smackdown of Bush's justifications for the NSA domestic spying program, entitled "Bush Stretches to Defend Surveillance" (with the bonus sub-heading of "The president's justification for his spy program has disputable roots, as do some of the facts and figures he put forth in his speech." A lot of words, it seems to me, but in the end it comes down to: Liar.)

Wait... There's more! (2 comments, 760 words in story)
