I'll admit I can be a glutton for punishment sometimes.

Maybe it's because I really want to believe that everyone has some level of decency; a modicum of respect for their fellow man (and woman). That eventually, anyone could be able to understand someone else's POV, even if they don't agree with it.

In the case with our illustrious media (print, radio, online and TV), I always fall into the trap of thinking that today will be the day that they'll catch on and develop something resembling a spine and a brain.

Unfortunately, more often than not, I get disappointed.

One may wonder why Iran won't completely concede to the olive branch Condi Rice extended (one may also ask why the Bush Administration did a 180 on their "don't talk to Iran" policy as well).

But if I was any official of importance or rank in Iran, I would look no further than to news of the Haditha killings. That would be reason enough for me.

I don't want to write something like this. To have these ideas turn from casual thought to written words means that something very, very wrong is happening.

I want to believe that President Bush is basically a simple-minded arrogant rich guy who got in way over his head in politics. But everyday, something seems to be exposed or revealed that makes me think the character profile isn't that simple.

So, here I am, just tweleve words from saying something I thought about jokingly, then casually, now seriously: George W. Bush may not vacate the office of the President of the United States.
