Scrum Open Assessment

just the basics

The Scrum Open assessment is available for free to anyone interested in testing their knowledge of Scrum. The Scrum Open assessment is also a useful tool for those preparing to take the Professional Scrum Master I assessment for certification. Before attempting the assessment it is highly recommended that you review the Scrum Guide at Scrum.org.

The assessment consists of 30 questions randomly selected from a larger pool. The average score on this assessment is 78%.

The assessment was developed during a rigorous 6-month period of inspection and adaptation. During this period nearly 1,000 people took the assessment. Many people provided feedback and participated in discussions to improve assessment questions. Those who achieved a 75% score during this period are considered to have contributed to bringing the assessment to its final state, and their names are available by clicking on the link above.

We periodically publish our analysis of the aggregate results of this assessment. We encourage you to check them out and see the context for your individual results.
