Summary
Sophisticated electronic warfare systems allow Jammer ships to obfuscate themselves and nearby ships on enemy sensors in combat. As well, they can mask the composition and size of fleets traveling from system to system.
This Destroyer class mission section is useful for jamming enemy sensors. Halves the distance ships can be seen at on the Strategic Screen as well as blocking discovery of fleet size and composition information. Also leaves a grey fog of war disc on the enemy's sensor map when in Tactical combat, preventing weapons from using sensors to target ships covered by the disk.
