Notes: | It depends on what the interface is for. A data shunt relays information to and from the user with an implant which is patched beneath the scalp. There is also the Universal Operating shunt, which is patched to the spine and allows the user to operate various types of hardware, both on his/her person and by remote control. Some readers of the background fiction for BoB may have noticed that the story's protagonist, Cai Rui, carries the Universal Operating shunt and a data shunt with an attached PDA. He calls his invisible friend "Cicero". Beginning with the A Murder of Crows expansion, Cybernetic Interfaces have been moved from the Industrial Technology tree to the Drone Technology tree. |
