Free Amigurumi pattern: The Little Lion

Materials:
4mm crochet hook
Brown and Beige yarn
Needle
Fiber fill
Safety eyes and nose

Abbreviations:
Sc Single crochet
Ch = Chain
Sl = Slip stitch
Tc = Triple crochet
Dc = Double crochet
Inc tc = 2 triple crochet in same stitch
Inc dc = 2 double crochet in same stitch
Hdc= half double crochet
Dec hdc= half double crochet 2 stitches together
Inc hdc= 2 half double crochet in same stitch

Head: using brown yarn

R1: magic ring, 6sts
R2:  with loop- stitch, inc,12 sts
R3:  with loop- stitch, sc,inc,18 sts
R4:  with loop- stitch, 2 sc, inc, 24 sts
R5:  with loop- stitch, 3 sc, inc, 30 sts
R6:  with loop- stitch, 4 sc, inc, 36 sts
R7,8,9,10:  with loop- stitch, sc around, 36 sts
R11: with loop- stitch, 4 sc, dec, 30 sts
R12: with loop- stitch, 3 sc, dec, 24 sts
Now work the last rounds with normal crochet
R13,14: 24 sts (begin stuffing)
R15: 2 sc, dec,18 sts
R16: 1 sc, dec, 12 sts
R17: dec, 6 sts ( fasten off)

Face: using beige yarn


R1: magic ring, 6sts

R2: inc, 12 sts
R3: 1 sc, inc, 18 sts
R4: 2 sc, inc, 24 sts
R5: 3 sc, inc, 30 sts
R6: 4 sc, inc, 36 sts ( fasten off)
Attach eyes and nose, embroider whiskers.
Attach face to the head.

Earsusing beige yarn (make 2)


R1: make 5 sts into ring,ch1, turn (5 sts)

R2: 1 sc, 2-sc inc into next st across, ch 1, turn (7 sts)
R3: 2 sc, 2-sc inc into next st across, ch 1, turn (9 sts)

Attach ears on head.

Body: using beige yarn

R1: magic ring, 6 sts
R2: inc, 12 sts
R3: 1 sc, inc, 18 sts
R4: 2 sc, inc, 24 sts
R5: 3 sc, inc, 30 sts
R6 to R15: 30 sts around
R16: 3 sc, dec, 24 sts (begin stuffing)
R17: 2 sc, dec, 18 sts ( fasten off)
Attach body to the head.

Arms: using beige and brown yarn (make 2)


Start with brown yarn

R1: magic ring, 6 sts
R2: inc, 12 sts
Change to beige yarn
R3: 1 sc, inc, 18 sts
R4,5,6: sc around, 18 sts
R7,8: 1 sc, dec, 12 sts ( fasten off)
Attach arms to side of the body

Legs: using beige and brown yarn (make 2)


Start with brown yarn

R1: magic ring, 6 sts
R2: 12 sts
R3: 18 sts
Change to beige yarn
R4: 24 sts
R5,6,7,8: 24 sts (begin stuffing)
R9,10: 18 sts ( fasten off)
Attach legs to lower side of the body

Tail: using beige yarn


R1:ch 16

R2: sc in second loop from hook, sc in next 14 loops

Tail's pompon: using brown yarn, no need to stuff.


Work with loop-stitch

R1: 5 sts
R2: 10 sts
R3: 15 sts
R4: 10 sts
R5: 5 sts ( fasten off)
Attach tail's pompon to tail then attach to the back of the body.
