Rated 1 out of 5 by JickLockhart NOT AIRTIGHT. Not airtight. Not even close to being airtight. Will be totally useless for storage in damp areas which is why I bought these in the first place. There is a good centimeter or two of empty air space lying down the entire length of the bin (both sides) even when the latches are closed tightly. I can almost fit my entire hand through the side of the bin when it is "latched closed." Probably large enough for a large roach or even a mouse to fit through. Very cheap , very disappointed. Don't usually review products but I thought I might save someone their $50. 07/24/2012
