good product product was larger and better looking than i expected 03/24/2009
The latch broke and now the thing won't. I only had it for two weeks. 08/01/2008
Arrived damaged The product arrived in a box wrapped in bubble wrap. Nevertheless, there was a hole in the original box and also in the chest, making it useless. I now need to take it back to WalMart and start the whole process again. The chest is heavy duty, and how anybody can poke a hole into it without noticing, is beyond me. 06/08/2008
no theft security The box is pretty heavy so i believe it may protect well from water and fire. The locking mechanism is made out of thin plastic though. I could break the lock off with my hands (no tools) without difficulty and open the box. In a fire the locking mechanism would melt without a doubt, it the box falls after the locking mechanism has melted in a fire, the box would open.I am not too worried about the easiness of breaking the lock off as anyone can steal a box like this anyway. I will not recommend this box on the basis that I don't believe the locking mechanism is good for a fire situation. 05/07/2008
