Rated 5 out of 5 by HiFiguru very inexpensive dual shelf system. I wanted a dual hanging shelf. One shelf for my cable box. The second for a DVD player.This Enmatic dual shelf unit is perfectly suited for my purposes. And the price of $25 is at least 50% less than comparable models sold at local DIY.Tools you will need are a stud finder, drill, screwdriver and a small hammer and a pencil.Hanging the shelf is a cinch. Took about 25 minutes.There are four holes in the 'spine' of this shelf system. Simply place the spine where you want it. I lined it up with center/bottom of my tv, so that the top of the spine is slightly hidden by the bottom of the tv.Drill four small holes for the plastic inserts (supplied). Using the hammer, gently tap them into place. Hold up the spine to align with the holes and insert the four screws (supplied) to hold in place. This mounting technique will easily hold the shelf system and components.Then, insert four black 'caps' to hide the screws.Finally, take each shelf support and attach to the spine via a pair of small 'set screws' (supplied) and tighten them once they are in position and straight.place a black tint glass shelf on the mount and secure with a single screw at the rear of the shelf. Do not overtighten as the glass may crack.Small rubber gromets which are attached to the underside of the glass shelves prevent them from vibrating.My only regret is I wish Enmatic would sell a matching black vinyl 'spine accessory' which would snap onto the bottom of thw shelf system and continue to the floor and would be trimmable. 08/30/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by DanPR No problems I bought this not expecting too much but getting a great deal. I think this shelving system has lived up to that so far. I'm using the bottom shelf to hold an Xbox 360 and the top shelf for my son's games and movie cases. The weight of the xbox has seemed to make no difference and has held firm. I mounted this directly to the stud to ensure proper safety and security.Like I said, no worries so far. I'll edit my review if anything changes. 08/15/2012
