If you bought something at a Walmart store and need to return or exchange it, you can take it back to any Walmart store, not just the one where it was purchased.

For most items, we accept returns within 90 days after purchase.

For the following items, we will only accept returns within 15 days of purchase:

Here's how to return your item to a store:

1. Bring the item you wish to return to the Customer Service desk.
2. Be sure to also bring all original packing materials and accessories.
3. If available, bring the receipt that came with the item.

No receipt? No problem
We do accept returns without a receipt. You will have the option of a cash refund (if the purchase was under $25), a shopping card for the amount of the purchase (if it was over $25) or an even exchange for the product. Also, as applicable, we follow any manufacturer’s warranties.

Holiday Returns Policy
If you buy an item between Nov. 1 and Dec. 24, 2012 that has a normal return policy of 15 or 30 days, we will extend the time you have to make a return by starting to count those days on Dec. 26, 2012.

That means you can buy a camera, laptop, DVD player or other item that normally has a 15 or 30-day returns window and know that the recipient will have until January or February to make a return or exchange, depending on the item.

Items that have the usual 90-day return window must be still be returned within 90 days of purchase.
