Stay on track with your fitness and training with the Proform TX-100 Heart Rate Monitor Watch. With its simple Quick-Touch technology, you can view your heart rate so you can stay in your target zone. With the calculated heart rate, you can compute the amount of calories burned. It has an LCD display which shows the current date and time. You can use the watch underwater up to a distance of 20 meters as it is made from waterproof material. The Proform watch also features a calendar, stopwatch, countdown timer and daily alarm.

That being said, every exercise HR monitor I have used or seen .. allows continuous hands free monitoring.Not this model. It requires you to press a button for a few seconds and then place two fingers on particular parts of the watch to register your pulse. If you remove your fingers, you lose the read out on the pulse.Not nearly as easy to (imagine if you are running) as the typical hands free monitor to use. 05/26/2011

No chest band so I wear it while doing my new High Intensity Heart Pumpers and can check my max HR instantly. Wear it while I work out with no problems!! It is so accurate I can sit there and calm my breathing and watch my HR drop on the watch. Very cool!! 04/23/2011

Rated 1 out of 5 by BADmitten Poor design/workmanship = lousy product I had a massive heart attack in December 2011, so I thought having a heart rate monitor would be a good idea. I ordered online and picked it up at my local store. Took it home and it didn't work. After three days of trying to contact the factory, I finally got a hold on the right person who said -- it just needs a battery. (It was brand new, why would it need a battery, I thought?) So, would you send me one? I asked. OK he said, reluctantly. When I received the battery a week and a half later, it looked like something from an amateur -- hand addressed on non-business stationery. Now replacing the battery is not for the faint of heart. Four tiny screws must be removed, then four even tinier screws. It was a challenge, my eyesight isn't what it used to be. I replaced the battery, put it back together and it still didn't work. The replacement battery, which did not come in any sort of packaging, was evidently only 1/2 charged, since some characters finally displayed halfway. I got my receipt and took it back to the store B&M. Thank you for taking this unit back! 01/27/2012
