Rated 4 out of 5Â by BigEZ Alright if you are in the market for a 40" LCD, and all you need it for is viewing high def televisionand movies you can't go wrong with this Sony. This is my 4th flat screen, 3rd Sony, and 2nd refurbished set. I have bought refurbished electronics before with no issues, but with the money i saved on my TVs I don't mind springing for extended warranty just in case but so far they are performing fine. This set has great picture quality and color, not 120hz so that needs to be said but it does have noise reduction features that help to give crisp detail. HDMI Inputs are minimal but you can buy excellent adapters on Amazon for next to nothing if you need them. If you use an analog receiver for surround sound you are out of luck unless you can use the headphone jack, if not you most likely will have to purchase a sound bar or speakers to achieve optimal listening pleasure. Like I said if your looking for a set with all the bells and whistles then honestly this is not the one for you but if your looking for a great bargain from a company that's known as a leader in consumer electronics and your not afraid of the word "refurbished" give this TV a try. 11/14/2012
