Total Delivery Time for Your Order

The total delivery time for your order is the period of time from when you place your order until the time you receive it. It is comprised of two parts: the processing time and the shipping time.

Total Delivery Time

Processing time for an item is the time from when you submit your order to when the item leaves the warehouse. (For orders paid in store using the Cash payment method, processing begins when we receive your in-store payment.)

Shipping time is from when the item leaves the warehouse to when it arrives at your door. See shipping times below.

When to Expect Your Order to Arrive

You can find out when an item will arrive (or be ready for you to pick up) by clicking "When will I get this item?" in the buying options table of an item page. When prompted, enter a ZIP Code to see availability and an estimated arrival date for your area, or to see nearby pickup locations.

Shipping is available for most U.S. addresses, and free pickup is available on thousands of items at Walmart stores and participating FedEx Office locations.

During checkout you can see the estimated arrival (or ready for pickup date) for each item in your cart. This date reflects the maximum processing and shipping time and will usually be the latest possible date that your item will arrive.

For Items Purchased from a Walmart Marketplace Retailer
If the seller of an item is anyone other than "Walmart.com," then that item is being sold by one of our Marketplace Retailers.

Each Marketplace Retailer sets its own shipping methods and times. Most retailers will offer Standard, Expedited Shipping and 1-Day Shipping, but these options will vary by retailer and by product. Site to Store shipping is not available for Marketplace Retailers.

Please visit the Marketplace Retailer Information Pages for Retailer details and contact information.

For Items Purchased from Walmart.com
We offer three shipping methods for most items:

  • Standard Shipping (3 to 5 business days)
  • Expedited Shipping (2 to 3 business days)
  • Rush Shipping (1 business day)

Some items can also be shipped using:

  • Freight (5 to 8 business days), available only for oversize or heavy items
  • Site to Store (5 to 8 business days), a free service where we ship the item to your nearest Walmart store (and some FedEx Office locations)

Please note:

  • For Standard Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, add 2-4 days.
  • Shipments to military APO / FPO addresses and U.S. territories and protectorates should arrive in 3-6 weeks.

Weather-related shipping delays are not within the control of Walmart.com or the Marketplace Retailer.

How Shipping Costs Are Determined

We work hard every day to bring you the lowest possible shipping cost.

The shipping cost for most items is based on the item's size, weight, shipping method and delivery address.

In your shopping cart, we show an estimated shipping cost, based on our lowest-price shipping method and assuming all items in your cart are going to a single address within the contiguous United States. You will see your actual shipping cost once you've gone through the checkout process.

Shipping to an Address Other Than Your Billing Address

If your order is shipping to an address other than the billing address on your credit card, we may contact you to list the alternate address with your credit card company.

Your order will not be processed until your payment has been confirmed. This helps prevent fraudulent use of your credit card.

To list the alternate address with your credit card company, call the 1-800 number on the back of your card and ask the agent to add the address to the notes on your account. Listing the address before you place an order helps us process your order more quickly.
