I was able to locate the last one in my area. I got a good discount for the display model. Remote was missing. An amazing associate provided me with a standard Vizio remote (which was for another vizio). He said to contact Vizio Cust Suppport about the remote, which I did do. Vizio required I email them a picture of the receipt,. They sent me the remote, that should have come with the set. (Back and forth took about a week).\n\nNow, I actually like the remote which was for another set better. Despite the pictures on the Walmart site, there is NO YouTube on this 47 inch version. Perhaps some update!? So, the internet video content through the provided 'internet video' AP on this set is really useless; low content. The keyboard remote is a nice feature, but without an actual browser, or Youtube ap, I don't have a use for the keyboard. Sucks because the YouTube AP in my BluRay player works great, but has a horrible remote for typing, painfully slow.\n\nI haven't used Netflix or Hulu yet. I like the local weather AP! The picture is fantastic. The sound, is, well.. good enough for average Joe maybe. But, I plan on using it with my Bose speakers anyway. Actually I planned to use this on the PC, but the recommended viewing distance for this size for 3D vision is 6.5 ft minimum. I got an amazing deal, and would have paid full price. There was a minor scuff on the top of the bezel, definitely worth the discount! The set is perfect, and WILL buy this model again. I'll keep the 42 VIZIO I currently have on my PC, there. The 47 will stay near the couch! :) Oh, yeah 3d picture if FUN especially in Avatar, and Hugo.

This is a nice tv with a really good, clear, and crisp picture. The speakers are not that great, but I hooked up to a surround sound system and everything is all good. This TV is a great value and I would highly recommend it

Picture is pretty good on the factory defaults but a little tweaking made it even better. Sound quality is a little tinny but a little more tweaking made it a lot better. Not happy with the remote because the buttons are not marked very well and are black on black but have the Direct TV remote which makes the channel and volume much easier to use.\nLike the site to store option which saves a lot on shipping and handling.\nOverall a pretty good deal for the price.

There was a gash in the screen when it arrived. Luckily, this was just for a model apartment. Hoping they will never need to turn the tv on.

This TV Sucks. If your going to buy this TV then you would need to buy a surround sound system to go along with it because there is no base at all. You know how you can switched to stereo or mono ? Not on this TV you don't have that option. My computer speakers which is built into to my computer is louder and sounds better. And the Video doesn't look that good when playing a DVD, It looks like I'm streaming when I'm actually playing a dvd from my Blu-ray player. We quickly returned it to walmart and got a Samsung instead. What did I learned from buying this TV ? Always buy a TV from Brands I Trust.

I absolutely love my new tv. I had previously purchased 1 other Vizio and had been given another as a gift, so I knew what to ecpect from this brand. They did not disappoint. Picture is beautiful as well as the sound. On screen set up was a breeze. I love the Netflix app now I don't have to connect via my computer. As of yet I have not utilized all features, bur look forward to it. I had some problems installing the base because it is a tight fit to insure stability but after swallowing my pride I called customer service who informed me I had to use force to get it in, it went right in and she even registered it for me.

I've had it for a month now and Im very pleased. Nice Clear customizable picture and sound. This is a BIGG TV. Exceeds all my expectations for an LCD. Glad I bought it, specially at the dirt cheap price of 478.00.

I bought this TV on August 19, 2012 because I wanted an inexpensive TV for my bedroom. The picture quality isn't all that great (Blacks & Flesh-tones are awful), but the price was low, so you get what you pay for. By the beginning of March 2013, the Vizio logo on the front of the TV will no longer illuminate when you power the TV off. Since the color of the Vizio Logo is used for diagnostics (white on, orange off), I called Vizio customer support to let them know about my issue. After the customer service rep spoke to me, she put me on hold and contacted a service representative. The service rep diagnosed the problem to be a failing LED. The customer service rep put me on hold and started to set up a service visit. When she came back on the line, the customer service rep told me that Vizio will not repair the failing LED since the picture and sound on the TV are still working. I really can't believe that Vizio will not repair the failing LED that illuminates the Vizio logo on the front of the TV. The color and flash rate of the logo are used for diagnostic trouble codes when a problem arises with the TV circuitry. Now I have no way to tell what the problem is when a part inside the TV fails. It also amazes me that this is their \"LOGO\" that will now not illuminate when the TV is off. It is supposed to be a bright orange \"VIZIO\" logo showing off their brand name. If Vizio won't repair something as simple as a failing LED, the horror stories I have read about Visio Service on all the A\/V forums must indeed be true! Granted it would cost Vizio to send a repair person to my house to fix the problem, but they must not really care about their products being 100% functional. This is the first and the last Vizio product I will ever purchase.

Confirmed picture quality at store before buying thru Site-to-Store to save 6%. Sound quality better than avg, so could even go w\/o a sound bar (extra hidden savings) - a rarity these days.\nTook over an hour to pick up. Went thru 3 sales clerks and 1 Asst Mgr. They finally did a phony \"cash sale\" - so I could get out of the store w\/ the TV, not get stopped by security, AND get the receipt I demanded in case I needed to return it for some reason.\nJust got 2 emails from website, one asking me to rate my purchase and a 2nd reminding me that I only have 1 week left to pick up my purchase. (hmm?)

I had initially purchased a 42 in LCD Sanyo for $398 and was disappointed with the picture: I had to mess around with the contrast and brightness and whatever and that got tiresome pretty quick. I too did alot of research, so one day. I was speaking with an associate at Walmart and he suggested the Visio because of the sound quality and contrast which was 100,000 to 1, the Sanyo was 4,000 to 1. Boy what a difference!!!\n\nI don't have HD with my cable set up, but the digital channels show a brilliant, beautiful picture. In the menu, I can decide what kind of picture I want, i.e. movie, game, basketball, vivid, etc. It features tru surround and sounds wonderful, it can get very, very loud! (because you know i had to turn it up loud to test it, not to just annoy my noisy neighbors, LOL).\n\nYouTube, Netflix, all of that shows well on this tv. My DVD's look great as well as my still pics which i view through my computer. I am thrilled that this set has VGA, but I will be purchasing a smaller tv to use as a monitor, because the tv is \"large\" and somewhat overwhelming when youa re viewing Microsoft Office. . Love it, love it, love it.\n\nTrue I purchased it in the middle of January, but my sister has had her for over 3 years and no problems and they watch it everynight, so perhaps I will have the same luck! I never buy warranties: my VCR, remember those?) lasted almost 19 years, the CD player and Kenwood Stereo bought around the same time is still running, (crossing fingers). Clapping hands, applauding for this really cool tv.

2 weeks out of warranty, and tv goes black, looked up issue online and its very common with their tvs. costs more to fix than to replace. i will never buy another vizio product.

Good TV. Right size for family room. Excellent sound and picture, colors a little dull even after adjusting, depending on what you are watching. Image sharp and clear. Very thin and easy to install. Remote control buttons too small and difficult to handle.\nOverall a good TV for the price. I would recomend it.

I bought the left over display model so I was able to examine the picture quite closely before my purchase. I wall mounted the TV in a room that it 22 feet in length. I have read some reviews that are good and some that are bad. I have not used all of the features of the TV yet and may post additional information later. As of this post, I hooked up my TV and since it was a display, I used the menu to factory reset the TV. I hooked up my DirecTV box with HDMI cable and Fiber Optic sound cable. I hooked up my old DVD player with component (Red, Blue, Green) cables and digital coax sound cable. I played a Redbox DVD and took a seat some 15+ feet back and was blown away by the picture quality. I will admit that when I stood directly in front (3-5') of the TV it was pixaly but I dont watch that close. With a large room that contains two love-seats and three chairs for the seven members of my family no one will be very close. I then watched a DVR'd HD show and again, was quite impressed with the picture. My son (19) watched ESPN HD and loves the TV. My son (8) and daughter (14) simply describe the TV as \"SOOOO Awesome\" That is pretty much all I have done with the TV so far but I must say that, even though I have not explored the other features or played with the settings, I am still very pleased with the TV. But BEWARE this TV seems to grow by 20% and nicely fills a 13' wide wall.

Initially, we called our local store (30 miles away) and were assured that they did have this item in stock. We drove to the store only to find that they did NOT have this item in stock. We were upset that we had driven 60 miles and were not able to bring a tv home. After much finger pointing as to who said what and \"he said\", \"she said\" we were given a gift certificate. We went home and ordered the tv on-line, site to store. We will never trust anyone at WalMart to actually have the item on hand that they say they do. AND you really don't want this review as you keep cancelling my nickname.RIGHT?

We bought a Sanyo 42\" 3 years ago and after having it only 2 years half of the screen went black. Of course Sanyo said there was noting they could do because we didn't buy an extended warranty. My husband thinking it was just a bad tv (not manufacturer) went down and bought a Sanyo 46\". After only 8 months it developed a 2\" vertical line in the screen that changed colors and was really annoying. We called Sanyo and they told us since it was still under warranty to take it back to Walmart. They gave us a return number and told is who to speak to in the Walmart claims department. I called this person and was assured that we would have no problem bringing it back, it was a customer satisfaction swap and they were expecting us. Luckily we still had the box, so we loaded it up and took it down to Walmart were we spent the next 2 hours arguing with the staff about bringing it back. From the kid in electronics to the manager, they all wanted to tell us that we could not exchange the tv even though it had already been okay'ed by Sanyo and Walmarts claims department. They wanted to hassle us because we did not bring the booklet that came with the TV, (really?....), and when it wa all said and done and they finally gave in and gave us the TV they raided our box and stole the booklet.....and they refused to allow us to purchase an extra warranty! So now we will probably have to go through all this again in another 8 months. Stay away from Sanyo, not worth the hassle!

I really can't say if I would recommend this product to someone else because I never received it. I had to call in and request a refund because the tracking information never changed on Fedex's website and the due date on my invoice had already passed. I had to go into the store and purchase another TV.

I love everything about this TV. Wish the \"smart Tv portion was faster to navigate through (i.e. small keyboard, or remote with more funtions.)
