What great stuff Conversion Gel is. It'll turn non-portal-conductive surfaces into portal-conductive surfaces. Use the 2 towers to solve this one. I've heard that if you solve it any other way, then Cave Johnson won't speak and the trophy won't unlock. (glitch tip from Kristoph). Just use portals to coat the inner walls of each tower then when at the top, use the fall and fling method with the tilted panel.

Drop Box
Place a cube on a button without touching the cube
46.81%
Uncommon
You can gain this trophy near the begining of the game after you have gained the Blue Portal Gun in Chamber 3 of the chapter Courtesy Call. head into the chamber and look down the hole where the box is going to fall into, now you must be quick or you might miss it, quickly place a portal in the hole so the box falls through it and lands on the button behind you.

It may take a few tries to get the placement of the portal correct but it's not a very difficult silver to achieve. Below is a video showing you the method if you are struggling a little bit.

Overclocker
Complete Test Chamber 10 in 70 seconds
24.17%
Uncommon
First, make a new save as you go down the elevator leading to this chamber. Then you can repeat it as often as you need to get it, or continue through the campaign and go back to it later.

If I tried to explain how to do this, it would come out a lot like "Place a portal in the top corner of this area, fall into a portal and launch yourself into the cube and move the cube here, place a portal on the right side of this and place another portal in this area and send the beam through the portals into that to move the platform out of your way do you can launch yourself up into this area and bounce a few times until you get there. Remember to bring the cube with you."

Helpful right? The video can do the talking... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qK0TuKMUmjc

Follow the strategy outlined in the video, do it as quick as you can, and once you make your way through the door to the elevator at the end this trophy should pop. If it doesn't, reload your last save and keep trying! Good luck.

*WARNING* My description contains major spoilers, so read at your own risk.

You can only get this trophy in Chapter 10. It is missable, but there's always chapter select for if you don't get it.

When Wheately has you trapped on a lone platform between metal spikes right at the start of Chapter 10, you'll notice that there is a conversion gel leak that will allow you to portal yourself onto a walkway, escaping Wheately's death trap. Proceed further to the point where you hear Wheately plead for you to come back. Do what he asks and go back and jump into the pit below. You'll die, but you'll also get this nice, shiny bronze trophy.

In chapter 2, Test Chamber 7, the emancipation grill is broken. This is a rare opportunity to smuggle something out of the test chamber. After completing the test, place a portal on the wall after the broken grill, then go back in and get the companion cube. Place the opposite portal on any portal conducting wall and take the cube with you. GLaDOS won't like that. You'll get the trophy when you reach the elevator with the companion cube.

Final Transmission
Find the hidden signal in one of the Rat Man's dens
28.42%
Uncommon
You get this one in chapter 2, Test Chamber 6. After riding the Aerial Faith Plates to the button and pressing it, a load of garbage will be thrown toward you. One of them is a radio playing 'Still Alive' from the first game. Take this radio back to the start of the chamber. Then place a portal on the left hand wall above the diagonally placed panels, as far as you can place it toward the corner, and another portal on the right hand one of those panels. Take the radio with you and launch the Faith Plates again. You should be propelled into a secret room. The radio will then start emitting a strange signal, prompting the trophy to appear.

Take GLaDOS' escape advice
54.85%
Common
As you and Wheatley make your escape in Chapter 4, GLaDOS will tempt you to complete your "last test"... since you were so close to being done!

She'll create a hard light surface for you to follow, go left on it to her test chamber to follow her escape advice (ignore whatever Wheatley says). She has a lovely room set up for you, it even has a heart in it. What could go wrong? Whoops, you're trapped and she treats you to some deadly, deadly neurotoxin. Thankfully you get a trophy for your efforts.

Schrodinger's Catch
Catch a blue-painted box before it touches the ground
26.49%
Uncommon
In the room with the cube, there is both Propulsion Gel AND water. First put Repulsion Gel into the glass container using your portals, and then wait like 3 seconds before putting water into it. The water will wash away the Repulsion Gel from the cube and glass container, and if you timed it right, the cube should still be in the box, even though some of the glass has been shattered, allowing you to get the cube out of the box without letting it touch the ground.

I'd still suggest saving before trying this, as it might take you a few tries to get the timing right.

When you take the long lift up, near the start of chapter 6, step out when you reach the top, and turn around so you're facing the lift. then look just to the right. Those are the first 3 doors. Press square in front of them to hear Johnson talking about what that test is (was). The last 3 are at the end of chapter 6. Just before you pick up Potato GLaDOS, look in the corner of that room above her, (easily accessable by portal) There's a door, just behind a cabinet. Jump on the table and go through it. The 3 doors are there. Along with the Missing Experiment, from the trophy above.

Smash TV
Break 11 test chamber monitors
20.79%
Uncommon
A tricky one this. You have to break 11 of Wheatley's monitors in chapter 8. There are only 11 that can be broken, so I'll take you through the breakable ones and how to break them. (TC=Test Chamber)

1 - TC1 - Place a portal on the wall opposite the monitor as high as possible, and the other on the floor below the portal. Step through, fall through, *smash*.

2 - TC2 - Head up to the button, and bring the cube to you but don't pull it out of the Excursion Funnel, instead make it fall through whichever portal is beneath it by placing the opposite one opposite the monitor. *smash*.

3 - TC3 - Use the fall and fling method like for the first monitor. *smash*.

4 - TC4 - Easy this one. Pick up the turret, use the wall for cover, and put it down facing the monitor. It will aim at it and open fire. *smash*.

5 - TC5 - Once at the cube release button, fire a blue portal at the wall where the Excursion Funnel is and an orange one on the floor in the center. Once the cube is caught at the ceiling, place the blue portal just underneath where the first one was and *smash*.

6 - TC5 - Same test chamber, same tactic, only this time, once the cube is at the ceiling, place the blue portal on the diagonal panel closest to the wall. *smash*.

7 - TC6 - Stand on the Faith Plate. *smash*.

8 - TC11 - (he seems to skip 7-10) When you have the Redirection Cube, place a portal down by the laser, and the other opposite the monitor, then use the Redirection Cube to point the laser through the portal and at the monitor. *smash*.

9 - TC12 - Another 'redirect the laser to the monitor' one. Before pointing the laser at the receptor to solve the puzzle, point it at the monitor. *smash*.

10 - TC15 - (he skipped some again) Another simple fall and fling one. Word of caution, don't smash it until he's created the exit for you, otherwise he won't, and you'll be stuck. *smash*.

11 - TC16 - Lastly, the trickiest one. You need to get one of those 3 turrets to destroy the last monitor. To do this, portal over to under the gel pipe, and use the Excursion funnel to transport the gel so it falls next to the button. Then get more gel in the Excursion Funnel, and bounce up so your riding just ahead of the gel. Once you're across, exit the Funnel and stand on the button to reverse the direction. Once the gel has passed through the portal, get off the button and fire a portal so the Funnel is above the turrets. But only release the gel onto 2 of them. The one on the far right should remain. Once it's on it's own, fire a portal on the floor so that you get carried up by the Excursion funnel, then shoot a portal on the opposite side of the turrets to last time so you fall through the portal below you and fly onto the turrets platform. Make sure there isn't too much gel here, you don't wanna bounce off it again. Anyway, pick up the turret, and let it destroy the last monitor. *SMASH*.

Iron Grip
Never lose a cube in Chamber 6 of the Mass and Velocity co-op course
15.75%
Rare
There are 2 tests to test chamber 6. You can't lose the cube in the first bit unless you foolishly take it through the emancipation grill. The second bit requires precise timing. Place a portal on the panel that drops down just infront of and above the entrance, and the other on the panel above the goo to the left of the entrance (if looking at entrance). Have your partner take the Aerial Faith Plate. Here comes the timing. Your partner will take the Aerial Faith Plate back from the other side and bounce off another Aerial Faith Plate, through the portals and round again. You need to press the button to release the cube just after (literally JUST after) they launch off the first Aerial Faith Plate. If done right they should be able to catch the cube. It may take a few attempts but, it just comes down to pressing the button at the right time. Good luck.

19.87%

In the Hard Light Surfaces course, find a place where a bridge will span a pool of goo (not the bridge's origin point, it needs to be going through a portal) and get your co-op partner to stand on it. Portal Conservation Society
Complete Chamber 3 in the Hard-Light Surfaces co-op course using only 5 total portal placements
14.24%
Rare
A tricky one that requires you to think outside the box. Only ONE player needs to do all portals, the second player just follows. So, first, lean over the side and place a portal (1) on the panel that is being touched by the Hard Light Surface. Then place the other (2) on the wall next to you and both players go through. Then stand on the edge of the Hard Light Surface Emitter and peek up so you can re-place (2) on the panel above you (3). Go through portal 1 and have your partner press the button while you catch the "Edgeless Safety Cube" and pop it in the receiver. (make sure you don't go through the emancipation grill until your partner catches up). Now place a portal above you to connect to the Hard Light Surface (4) then go stand between the wall and the Aerial Faith Plate. Shoot your last portal (5) on the ceiling next to the exit, so that the Hard Light Surface is roughly at a 45 degree angle. Then step on the left edge of the Aerial Faith Plate. If done right you'll bounce off the Hard Light Surface and into the exit. If you die, your portals will vanish meaning you'll have to place more, meaning you'll fail the requirement. Good luck.

Four Ring Circus
Enter 4 different portals without touching the ground in co-op
18.08%
Rare
This is tricky to explain with words, so pay attention. Best place to go for this is the first part of test chamber 1 of course 1. Have your partner place both their portals on the ground next to each other. You place one of yours next to them (so you have 3 portals side by side) and your other above the middle portal. Drop through YOUR portal so you fall down through the middle portal, then as you fly up to the ceiling, place the portal that was above the middle portal, on the ceiling so you go through it, then fall back through. Now you should've gone through all 4. If you can't understand my description, youtube can help.
