The Dual version combines both Multi-Dimensional and Relational Engines for the highest architectural and application flexibility. In all versions data maintenance and management doesn’t require any programming. In the end-user analysis application, whether the data sources are relational, multi-dimensional, or both blended together, it is invisible to the end-user.

  In addition to providing a multi-dimensional integrated database, BOARD supports direct access to any relational database. Unlike other traditional Business Intelligence software applications, BOARD’s Relational Engine supports data write-back, allowing the exploitation of all native simulation functions that have fueled BOARD’s international success as a rapid application development tool for decision support. For example, a budgeting solution created with the ROLAP engine allows storage of the planning data directly inside the company’s relational data-warehouse.
