Remembering Smita, a film festival dedicated to the late actress Smita Patil recently concluded at the National Film Archives of India (NFAI).

As a part of the fest, eight of Smita's rare films including Bazaar, Tarang, Chidambaram and others were screened at the NFAI main theatre. The two-day event was inaugurated by veteran actor-director and Smita's co-star from Bhumika and concluded with a panel discussion involving actor Mohan Agashe, director Jabbar Patel and Lalita Tamhane. The trio shared memories of working with Smita during the discussion moderated by NFAI director Prakash Magdum.
Smita's family donated a rare collection of the actress' photos to NFAI as the event drew to a close.
