Far cry from a tropical adventure.

Byline: An you believe it's By CHERYL MULLIN Games reviewer

AN you believe it's March already? c And thank the gaming gods, for as well as (hopefully) bringing some warmer spring weather - March is also heralding the arrival of some lovely new games. Here, in all their glory, are five titles which should be on your radar this month.

Far cry PriMAl (Xbox One, PS4, PC; out now) FAR Cry ventures into the Stone Age for its latest outing. Sound strange? That's because it is...

Gone are the tropical rain forests, African savannahs and dystopian cities, to be replaced by woolly mammoths and sabretoothed tigers.

As the last survivor of your hunting group, you have to learn and adapt - gaining the skills to craft your own deadly arsenal of weapons to fend off the large and bitey mammals for whom you are now supper.

Early reviews are promising, with many praising developers Ubisoft Montreal for trying something different to refresh what had become a tired and frayed looking franchise.

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: TWILIGHT PRINCESS HD (Wii U; out March 4) IT'S a big year for Zelda.

Just last week the franchise marked its 30th anniversary - and this week the tenth anniversary of Twilight Princess is celebrated as the game is released in glorious HD.

But the HD release is not just about making the game look prettier - there are a number of tweaks and sparkling new features which make parts of the game easier.

If you are a complete masochist then Tantatus has added a Hero Mode, which will prove a real challenge to even the most gifted Zelda player.

TOM CLANCY'S THE DIVISION (PS4, Xbox One, PC, out March 8) IT'S not out until Tuesday, but more than 6.4million players have already given The Division a whirl.

The game's open beta period ended last weekend, and it gained that number of players in just four days.

As a Division agent, you find yourself fighting the effects of a man-made pandemic - and caught up in the epic conspiracy of those behind it.

The only thing scarier than what's happening in New York, is what's happening outside the city in the Dark Zone - where a bounty of cool and very useful extras is hidden.

I've high hopes for The Division - and it looks very pretty too.

Ufc 2 (Xbox One, PS4; out March 17) AS regular readers of this column will know, I'm not known for my love of sport.

But I was massively taken with UFC - and not simply because I found the very act of beating the daylights out of my opponent to be exceedingly therapeutic. This second outing boasts a brand new physics-driven hit reaction and knockout system and the ground game has been altered to give greater responsiveness and variety. The blocking and parrying system has also been overhauled - so I'm hoping that my player may be a little quicker off the mark when it comes to stopping punches.

TRACKMANIA TURBO (Xbox One, PS4, PC; out March 25) THIS devilish title finally makes an appearance on the next gen consoles.

Easy to learn, but tough to master - the gameplay relies on time attack racing in which gamers set their own limits and challenges.

Part matchbox car fantasy, part racing game - you test your skills and wits on more than 200 tracks in four quite stunning environments.

It's the type of quirky title I've been waiting for on the PS4 and Xbox One - and at PS25 on release, it's perfectly priced for curious gamers to pick up and give a go.

And speaking of quirky titles, a couple of honourable mentions this month: Bus Simulator 2016 and Farming 2017 The Simulation, on March 24. If you've ever had dreams of driving a bus, or trying your hand at living off the land - then these titles are begging for you to give them a go.
