Two female attackers killed after assaulting police station in Istanbul.

ISTANBUL, March 3 (KUNA) -- Two female attackers were killed after they opened fire and dropped hand-made bombs at the entrance of the Riot Police Directorate in Bayrampasa, on Istanbul's European side, Ihlas News Agency reported Thursday. The female attackers reported to have escaped the scene of the incident and hid in a building. Police surrounded the building and launched an operation after the pair ignored calls for them to surrender. In later hours, media outlets reported that the two women assailants involved in the attack were killed. (end) ta.nfm
