Popping out for the young ‘uns

08 Dec 2016

Pop Up Market Show is an initiative designed to assist and promote youth that are in business therefore it is exclusively for the young ones.

It is a sister event to the well known Chill Step Sundays which is hosted every last Sunday of the month. Since most young people have incredible business concepts/ideas/products, lack of funds to promote them, Pop Up Market Show then came up with this to help them push their brands, learn from each other and inspire the next generation of business owners.

The event’s anticipation is to create networking opportunities, promotion of mind blowing products, have an incredible vibe coupled with a remarkable attendance.

“I only wish for vendors to leave the place having consumed a lot not just financially but personally and socially too, highlighted Drew Chadhall, the event organiser.

The event was hosted on November 26 and 27 from 10am until 5pm and entrance was free. The Pop Up Market Show was held at the Three Chiefs Monument Park in CBD. “I wish to thank the department of National Museum and Monuments for their incredible support as they have been very supportive of our youth projects,” noted Chadhall.

During the two-day event, resident DJs; Casper The DJ, Flex Swavey and Dhers Republiq provided the masses with entertainment, as they have been part of the Pop Up Market initiative for a long time and people showed them support.

On this Pop Up Market show, the organisers cleverly launched a gaming section for all their events: FIFA, snooker, darts, table tennis, board games and many more to keep the crowd well entertained. It was also a family event that left many smiling.

“I wish to thank people who believed in our crazy dreams. Pop Up Market Show has been running for two years flat with no funding, however the people’s loyalty has kept us consistent and we plan it to be that way,” concluded Drew Chadhall.
