Emblematic refurbishment with Emmaüs Solidarité

The Emmaüs Solidarité daytime welcome center was refurbished with the support of the Saint-Gobain Initiatives Foundation. Located right in the center of Paris (France), the “Agora” center is one of the association’s oldest and its largest. A symbolic site for Emmaüs, which has its historic headquarters nearby.

Welcome with dignity
The “Agora” daytime support facility run by Emmaüs Solidarité in the heart of Paris (France) was officially opened on March 5, after 15 months’ work. The Saint-Gobain Initiatives Foundation donated 150,000 euros for the renovation of this emblematic site, one of the association’s oldest and best-known. In addition to the Foundation’s support, Placoplatre supplied plasterboard for the refurbishment.

Each day, Emmaüs Solidarité’s Agora center opens its doors to about 200 people.

The Saint-Gobain Initiatives Foundation contributed to the refurbishment of the Emmaüs Solidarité association’s emblematic welcome center in Paris (France). It took 15 months’ work for this center to regain its dignified level of comfort and hospitality.

A Saint-Gobain employee, Olivier Lécroart, was the project sponsor and supervised the work’s progress. Placoplatre also contributed by donating plasterboard for the refurbishment work.

“I am delighted to see the work finished,” said Pierre-André de Chalendar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Saint-Gobain, at the official opening ceremony. “We are proud to have contributed to helping Emmaüs in its mission to welcome and provide social support to the most underprivileged.”
