BOLTARON® 9815D
FAR-Rated High Impact Resistant Decorative Design Sheet
Industry's widest range of decorative patterns expands design options. 66% higher impact resistance extends service life of interior components.
Boltaron ® 9815D expands design freedom for aircraft interiors with the broadest
range of custom decorative patterns and textures available in FAR 25.853(d) rated thermoplastic alloy sheet.
This proprietary extruded thermoplastic alloy sheet meets FAR 25.853(a) and FAR 25.853(d) for smoke density and heat release. It also features notched Izod impact resistance of 5.0 ft-lb/in. (265 J/m) vs. competitive 65/65 rated products that measure 3.0 ft-lb/in. (159 J/m), to improve service life of interior components.
Boltaron's unique manufacturing capabilities in custom decorating — in addition to custom colors and surface textures — allow cost-effective low minimums with fast turnaround, enabling small runs for prototyping and design evaluation prior to full-scale production.
In thermoforming, Boltaron® 9815D maintains wall thickness integrity in deep draws and sharp corners. Its consistent quality also ensures uniform appearance in formed parts.
The Boltaron impact resistant FAR 25.853(d) rated product family includes 9815E extruded sheet, 9815M in metallic finishes, 9815D with unlimited decorative patterns, 9815P in the widest range of textures, and 9815F film and thin-gauge sheet for two- and three-dimensional laminating, and Boltaron® 9850 with a 50/50 rate of heat release.
