One Year An ESOP- A Look Back

No one knew what to expect really when, after 35 years as the sole owner and founder of New England Natural Bakers, John Broucek sold the company to the employees. To John’s credit or plain circumstance (probably a combination of both) the “little” company in Western Massachusetts had avoided being sold off to a corporate food behemoth and never agreed to a venture capital infusion. This “non-action,” allowed New England Natural Bakers to move from single owner to a 100% Employee Owned enterprise. The question still remained, how would it happen?

2013 PLMA was a success!

Pam Clark, VP of Sales & Marketing and John Broucek, Founder GM of New England Natural Bakers were featured on the cover of the The Griffin Report, a leading industry Trade Publication, while attending the PLMA (Private Label Manufacturers Association) Show in Chicago last month.  "Although we have been been providing co-packing solutions for our customers for years, this was only the second time we attend the show, and after so much succes at the 2012, we didn't want to miss the opportunity this year," said Clark, who leads the Sales and Marketing team on both the Private Label and Brand side.
