Some 1,800 students from 200 schools of building sciences in 90 countries presented their sustainable construction energy projects to an international judging panel of professionals and experts. The Latvian Sun Shade project was presented with the first prize at a ceremony held in the Crystal Gallery of the Palacio de Cibeles, in the presence of Pierre-André de Chalendar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Gianni Scotti, General Delegate for the Mediterranean, and representatives of the local authorities.
