AchievementBrand Indian Railways chose Saint-Gobain’s multi-comfort glazing to equip the roofs of its new Vistadome coaches. They provide passengers with an exceptional view of the landscape of Andhra Pradesh in southern India. The Saint-Gobain Glass India complex in Chennai, in coordination with Glassolutions Polska, specifically designed and supplied this glazing. The glass panels are made of PRIVA-LITE active glass that changes from translucent to transparent at the click of a switch, combined with thermally insulated SGG PLANITHERM Ultra ensuring optimum daylighting without glare or overheating. This 33mm thick assembly also ensures excellent acoustic insulation. Four other lines will be equipped with this glazing in India’s north and northwest.
