Quality Assurance and HAACP
Butterfield Foods, a USDA-inspected facility, employs a veteran team of Quality Assurance professionals who oversee its Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) program. Reviewed weekly, this program is updated to ensure that food safety issues are always anticipated by the entire organization.
We are proud of achieving SQF 2000 Level 3 Certification (view here), which gives you assurance that the products you buy from us have passed rigorous international standards for food safety and quality, including HACCP. SQF is the only certification program outside Europe recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), which links primary production certification to food manufacturing, distribution and agent/broker management certification.
The company operates its own in-house laboratory for contact surface plate testing. External labs are used for pathogen testing. Butterfield Foods adheres to a Quality Policy of “on-time, defect-free.” To a customer, this means the company will provide product when promised, in conformance to specifications.
