Newcomerstown, OH — Kevin Asti has been named Vice President of Operations for Boltaron, by Dean Li, president.
He will be responsible for manufacturing of 50-plus grades of the company's extruded, calendered and/or press laminated PVC, CPVC and proprietary PVC/acrylic sheet products.
Asti said he plans to strengthen the company's position as a world leader in thermoplastic film, sheet and composite products, by streamlining customer response systems, implementing proactive shop floor communication procedures, and fostering a quality-oriented culture based on teamwork and ownership.
"We are also accelerating new product development to meet the most demanding property requirements and fire ratings, and are currently installing a state-of-the-art extrusion line to meet increased demand while reducing turnaround for standard, custom and proprietary sheet products alike," he said.
Previously Senior Production Manager for Philips Lighting, and Director of Manufacturing for Kleerdex Company, Asti holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Penn State, an MBA from Bloomsburg University and is Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by APICS - The Association for Operations Management, and in Quality Engineering and Quality Management by the American Society for Quality.
Boltaron sheet products are offered in gauges from .003 to 3.0 in. (.076 to 76.2 mm) for thermoforming, fabricating, membrane pressing and laminating of components for building products, aircraft interiors, rail/mass transit vehicle interiors and diverse commercial/industrial applications.
