Flexible spending account
We offer flexible spending accounts for healthcare and dependent care. Full-time and part-time employees can use this benefit to set aside pretax payroll deductions for eligible expenses.
Continuing education
Employees can access a full complement of in-person courses and live webinars at no cost. In addition, Encompass Health web-based education and online instruction modules provide many options for increasing knowledge and competency. We also allocate continuing education funds to support approved additional educational opportunities for clinical staff.
Generous paid time off (PTO) plans
Eligible full-time and part-time employees accrue time off each pay period. Our employees enjoy a generous PTO schedule in addition to holidays.
Health savings account
If an employee elects for a high-deductible health plan, they are eligible to enroll in a health savings account (HSA) through HSA Bank. The funds in the account are used to pay for IRS-qualified medical expenses such as deductibles, co-pays, prescriptions and more.
401(k) saving and investment programs
Encompass Health provides 401(k) matching to full-time and part-time employees and matches 50 percent of the first 6 percent contributed. Employees may also purchase Encompass Health stock via payroll deduction to enhance their investment portfolio. In addition to the 401(k) program, the college savings 529 Plan helps employees save for college for dependent children.
Employee assistance
This plan provides access to counselors, crisis intervention and referrals to community resources. It is available to full-time and part-time employees at no out-of-pocket cost.
Legal services
Full-time and part-time employees can take advantage of group legal services through MetLaw, provided by Hyatt Legal Plans. The plan provides comprehensive, fully covered legal advice and assistance for most personal legal matters.
Tuition reimbursement
This program is designed to help you achieve your dream of a college education or a graduate degree. Tuition reimbursement is available to full-time and part-time employees pursuing job-related education from an institution holding regional or national accreditation. Employees are reimbursed once the course is completed and grades are received
Life and income protection
Encompass Health provides employees with basic term life insurance benefits in an amount equal to one times their annual base pay at no cost. Optional group term life insurance as well as voluntary accidental death and dismemberment insurance are also available. In addition, we offer short-term and long-term disability as well as Unum supplemental insurance. Other supplemental plans include purchasing power and auto and home coverage.
