Ukrgasbank starts to issue interest-free loans for electric car purchase; DTEK buys 600,000 metric tons of coal in South Africa; Ukroboronprom sees net income rise by 31.2% in 2016.

• DTEK energy holding buys 600,000 metric tons of coal in South Africa, the company's press service has reported. The company said this is a first case for Ukraine when such significant amounts of anthracite are bought in distant markets in such a short time.

• A fifth thermal power plant, Slovyanska, has been stopped because of lack of anthracite coal, reported the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry.

• Bohdnan Danylyshyn, head of the National Bank of Ukraine Council, said that $1.66 billion of profit posted by the central bank in 2016 will be channeled into the national budget in 2017, UNIAN reported.

• Turkey's custom tax of 130 percent levied on six products imported from Russia, including wheat, has directed Turkish importers towards to the Ukrainian market, according to Daily Sabah.

• The IMF’s chief to Ukraine said Tuesday Ukraine’s pension system is unsustainable because it supports nearly one third of the population and Ukraine must limit the number of retirees, AFP reported.

•Industrialists and entrepreneurs have expressed their support for the draft Export Strategy of Ukraine, which was presented by the Ukrainian Ministry for Economic Development and Trade as a roadmap for the strategic development of foreign trade.

• Infrastructure for a land market and improvement of the state cadaster has been prepared, Taras Kutovyi, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, said at a meeting of the Rada’s Economic Policy Committee

• One of the largest global port operators DP World (the United Arab Emirates) could start working at the Yuzhny port (Odesa region) later this year, Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan said at a meeting with representatives of P&O; Maritime FZE, a subsidiary of DP World.

• The state-owned Ukrgasbank in cooperation with Oxygen Group and ULF Finance have started to issue interest-free loans for the purchase of electric cars, the bank's press service reported.

• The total net income of the enterprises that are part of Ukroboronprom in 2016 increased by 31.2% compared to 2015, the press service of the company told Interfax-Ukraine.
