    I think they’re pretty much out, Henry seemed to leave because a mos 2 wasn’t even close to being considered and Ben, well, he’s focused on his problems. Shame, I was the only one of my friends group excited when I heard he was cast.

    Disagree. Henry's agent pulled a stunt, but it wont damage him unless he decides to start making serious demands. Plus, WB is probably rethinking the direction of the universe until they're willing to make a Superman movie again.

    And Ben may or may not be out. I think it depends on his capacity to stay sober and look clean. If that cant happen, the actor will change IMO.

      Cyborg hasn’t had any progress since it was announced in 2014. No writer, no director, nothing. I don’t think it’s happening, especially since we’ve seen a number of projects announced long after Cyborg that had way more development happen way quicker.

      Matt Reeves has turned in The Batman’s script, filming will likely begin in November. Birds of Prey starts filming this Monday and releases February 2020. The Flash is a little rocky but it has directors working on it and is clearly a priority for WB. Suicide Squad 2 is being written (and probably directed) by James Gunn, and Aquaman 2 is definitely happening now.

      Like everyone else, I want Man of Steel 2, but I really hope Cyborg gets a solo. Ray/Zack’s take on Victor (or at least, what we saw of it) had me interested and I’d love to see more.

      I honestly never thought it’d hit this milestone but I’m so glad it did. DC really needed a win and they got it this’ll have a real positive impact on Shazam and the DC movie brand in general. I also hope this pushes WB to give directors more freedom over their films. Onwards and upwards. 🔥🔥

      WB usually does. There is a reason why people like Nolan and Eastwood has been there for as long as they did. Snyder had a lot of freedom from WB for movies like Watchmen, 300 and MoS, but he has to give what WB expects in return. Profits. If that happens WB wouldn't have interefered with Snyder so much. They messed up rushing SS script though. But they made up for it in the Marketing.

      Saw the movie on Thursday. James Wan & Jason Momoa did a great job together. This just goes to show that WB shouldn't try to force every DC movie to be like Nolan's Batman trilogy. Batman is really the only dark character from the Justice League. The rest of the heroes should be allowed to have their own personality like Aquaman. Also, they should continue with solo movies then reboot Justice League.

        Mera’s highlight scene was in the Sicily bar with the wine bottles and Arthur’s was on the battlefield underwater; a great parallel (imo) of their acceptance of each other’s place of birth.

        It did what (imo) the other DCEU movies didn’t. It had fun with itself.

        I thoroughly enjoyed it. A little long and some bad music choices but all in all I thought it was actually great.

        My only real complaint (and it’s for movies in general) is the whole de-aging effect. Stop that please. Just cast a young actor/actress. I always thought that was fine.

        Who would have thought Aquaman would outperform almost every other non-team superhero movie from the MCU?

        Hopefully WB gives Wan/Mamoa/Heard/Yahya and everyone they need juicy cheques for Aquaman 2. I'd love to see where they could go with another story.

            Unlikely. Shazam isn't as well-known as Aquaman, it's opening close to AE, and the movie doesn't have star power like SS to attract audiences.

            Also won't amazing setpieces like Aquaman since the budget is lower and it's set in the suburbs.

              I don't like the horror genre but that pedigree from someone like Wan or Guillermo Del Toro could be amazing for Martian Manhunter or Animal man where the powers and appearance of the lead character are quite confronting and their adversaries terrifying

                Not necessarily smart, but certainly audience savvy. After MOS and especially BvS, keeping him on to handle all their major superhero properties was a humongous blunder from the perspective of building audience goodwill.

                There was a report a little while ago that there was major divides in the WB film department between those who wanted to oust Zack, and those that wanted to go all in on him. Would have loved to be a fly on the wall to hear those convos.

                It's just the typical 'estimate' which is a cleverly put together formula for Box Office numbers. They follow patterns, and you can tell how much a film will make over the weekend (within a relatively close number) via their Friday BO numbers.

                It only needed to make 12 million, worldwide, on Saturday to reach 1 billion. Very likely 5 million overseas, 8 million domestic today.
