Video Account Sales Manager — Pro A/V — East

Division: Sales
Reports To: National Sales Manager, Roland Pro A/V

Summary Description

The Video Account Sales Manager position requires an AV design professional that will focus on assisting Roland Pro AV clients and partners with best practices for sales, consulting, installing and implementing our products into video and AV environment applications. The Account Sales Manager will work closely with the National Account Manager, sales team, independent rep firms and their customers to assist them in ensuring optimal success when utilizing Roland PRO AV products. The Sales Manager in the Eastern Region will provide training, sales and technical support for sales reps, resellers, integrators, production rental, consultants, and end user customers in addition to handling key account customers and accounts as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Northeast Account Sales Manager Territory – Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia
  • Account Sales Manager for RSN members in the Eastern Region of US. Key accounts include AVFX, Bluewater Technologies, CMI Communications, Colortone Staging, CPR Multimedia, Creative Visions, On Services Atlanta, HB Live, Michael Andrews, Royal Productions, Advanced Staging, and other accounts as assigned.
  • Account Sales Manager for Video Professional and other accounts as assigned.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to customers and partners based on the needs of their environments and applications.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for sales REP firms for product demonstration, customer visits, channel development, design and build assistance. Aid all sales REP’s, integrators, dealers, architects and end customers as needed.
  • Provide training on Roland PRO AV equipment for sales REP firms, integrators, dealers and architect and end user customers.
  • Help create simple and easy to understand documentation and training videos for best practices using Roland PRO AV, video products.
  • Provide step by step phone, e-mail, and online (SKYPE, Facetime) assistance when needed for customers installing Roland PRO AV video products.
  • Provide technical training for Roland PRO AV Video products.
  • Assist sales process that includes order tracking, stock balance inquiries, pricing, and general customer service requests for customers.
  • Attend local, regional and national trade shows and conferences as assigned.

Additional Performance Expectations

  • To become knowledgeable in the company’s complete product line as well as gaining a broad understanding of how they integrate with installed AV environments.
  • To become knowledgeable in other collaboration tools, platforms, and solutions that our product may integrate with in collaboration spaces.
  • To maintain excellent rapport and frequently interact directly with existing clients.
  • Provide feedback to SU Management regarding product feedback and features.

Employment Standards

Education/Experience: Technical arts degree is ideal, or equivalent combination of technical arts certificate and experience. Experience in live event video production or system integration experience for audio system design, installation, operation and support. Experience in industry related sales, retail or commercial.

Skills: Requires above average interpersonal skills in dealing with customers, partners, and dealer sales staff in a timely basis where circumstances might sometimes be stressed for either in person or telephone communication. Must possess a demonstrated sales ability. Must be skilled in the use of web, email, social media, and telephone. Must be able to write technical and application-based content. Must be comfortable on camera and microphone for video and audio recording. Requires the ability to effectively write reports and other communication items. Basic math skills are required.

Knowledge: Requires strong knowledge of live video production, streaming and workflows associated with live event production or broadcast.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to drive, rent rental cars and hotel rooms, ability to fly to visit key markets and ability to travel internationally if required. Must be able to read and comprehend and have sufficient hearing and vision to determine audio and video characteristics as well as support telephone, office and event communications.

The Account Sales Manager will be expected to maintain a reliable vehicle for travel within the local area and the movement of samples and products, etc.

As a remote employee, you will be required to provide a suitable work and storage location without cost to the company. When working from home, the sales Engineer must be able to support customers professionally with suitable Internet bandwidth for browsing, conferencing and phone use. This includes the avoidance of unreasonable background noise or distraction.

Must also be able to bend, push, pull, and reach above head, forward and from side to side to move or access products required for use from the customer, warehouse, or other location. Requires constant use of hands, arms, and wrist movement for PC and telephone work.

Product Specialist — Springfield, New Jersey

Summary Description

As a member of the Sales Team, the Product Specialist in a Roland Planet, is in a leading musical instrument retailer to promote, demonstrate, sell and provide customer support for Roland and BOSS products. Please refer to our website for more information of Roland and BOSS products.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deal with a large cross section of customer enquiries
  • Demonstrate and sell Roland and BOSS products
  • Follow up on sales leads
  • Offer technical support for customers of the Roland Planet
  • Manage and maintain the Roland and BOSS areas
  • Create marketing campaigns for local and online audiences via traditional and digital methods including social media
  • Complete reports
  • Train and work closely with other store staff to maximise Roland and BOSS sales
  • Run promotional events throughout the year

Employment Standards

Education/Experience: High school degree or equivalent. Experience in a customer service role. Must hold expert knowledge and be proficient in Piano/Keyboard performance. The ability to play/use competently two of the following: Drums, Guitar, Recording/Production equipment (computer-based recording). The ability to work with management of store and key stakeholders to grow business for the future. Enthusiastic manner and passionate about music. Competent computer skills with experience in email, calendars, internet and reporting.

Skills: Excellent communicator both on the telephone and face-to-face. Punctual and reliable. Highly organized and ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Physical Qualifications

This position requires the ability to sit 5% of the day, walk 40% and stand 55%. Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Some travel may be required to attend seminars or provide support for tradeshows and other events. Requires use of hands, arms, and wrist movement for PC work. Video Production Internship

We are currently seeking candidates for our paid internship video position (10-30 hours/week). We are looking for self-motivated person(s) that are interested in getting hands-on experience in video production for Roland’s creative marketing department. You will learn and be involved in all aspects of video production, from preproduction to post production.

You will be working in multi-camera HD video studios, video editing bays and audio recording rooms. You will get hands-on experience with HD cameras, studio lighting and grip equipment, video switchers, audio mixing boards, and of course tons of musical instruments.

Qualifications

  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to work between the hours of 9am–5pm, M–F. Some evenings and weekends may be needed for video shoots.

Sales and Marketing Assistant Paid Internship

Roland Corporation U.S. is currently seeking candidates for a paid internship position (10-30 hours/week) in our sales and marketing departments. The pay is $12/hour. We are looking for self-motivated applicants that are interested in getting hands-on experience in the music business as part of the Roland team. You will learn and be involved in the sales process, the creation of retail and event materials, our social media content, and the planning of special events.

Duties will include, but will not be limited to, assistance with trafficking projects, archiving materials, print production, event preparation, marketplace monitoring, and product support. You will grow your sales and marketing skills by supporting our staff comprised of an internal and outside sales force, support of our in-house graphics, web design, print, photo/video, and product marketing teams.
