THE ROAD

TO FRANCE

While they succeeded in making history, Scotland certainly didn’t take the easy route. Of the seven victories they secured en route to pipping Switzerland to top spot on a dramatic final day, four involved them battling back from a losing position.

THE COACH

Shelley Kerr

This former Scotland captain, who had made headlines as the first woman in the UK to coach a senior men’s team, took charge of the national side in 2017. She had previously managed Arsenal and Scotland's U-19 side.

THE STAR

Kim Little

Voted MVP in USA and England’s top flights and lauded as one of the world’s best for over a decade, Little will be appearing in her first major tournament with Scotland. The attacking midfielder, who represented Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics but missed the 2017 UEFA Women’s EURO through injury, scored vital goals in each of her team’s final three France 2019 qualifiers.
