"Comfort Ortho JKB" was founded in 2003 by Janusz Kot, a licensed pedorthist. The company specialises in verification of illnesses and all kinds of lower extremity biomechanics abnormalities which are then treated with the use of individually designed, specialised orthotic insoles.
Janusz Kot started his career in his father’s orthopaedic laboratory which manufactured specialised, custom-made shoes. At the same time, he obtained a certificate in orthopaedics in Konstancin and a master craftsman’s certificate from Józef Sikora. Being the job passionate, Janusz Kot left for the USA in 1985 and was employed by Ullman and Company where he worked and gained professional experience until 2003. At that time, he expanded his knowledge on pedorthics: Mr Kot attended the most remarkable symposia and scientific meetings in the USA (including the medical school at the NorthWestern University and Cleveland Clinic in Ohio).Such intense progress yielded a pedorthist license and a number of prestigious certificates.
In 2003, Janusz Kot returned to Poland and, together with his wife Barbara, started Comfort Ortho JKB. Its office and laboratory are located in Warsaw at Koszykowa 20. To continue the family tradition, Janusz Kot’s son, Marcin, joined the company in 2009. This partnership is a perfect prognosis for further development of the company.
