R. Katherine Samford

Katherine has been a part of the GTLI team since 2009. As a lecturer, she enjoys teaching upper level IEP courses as well as teaching special programs, such as the Panamanian and Brazilian EFL teacher training courses. As Campus Coordinator, Katherine works across the GA Tech campus to initiate and foster partnerships with other academic and administrative units to provide language, communication, learning, and professional support to international graduate students, teaching assistants, visiting scholars and faculty. She also conducts guest lectures on cross-cultural communication and effective presentations. Katherine’s doctoral work at the University of Georgia allows her to delve into her professional passion, which is faculty professional development. Her current research focuses on supervision, adult learning, and professional development theories.
